Vice Ganda jokingly “claimed,” the “crown” in Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
It is because he allegedly had Ion Perez in his life.
In his Instagram post last November 5, Vice can be seen hugging Ion from behind as he takes their mirror selfie.
In his caption, he wrote, “Don’t wanna give my heart away to another stranger.”
Jonas Gaffud, the Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPO) creative director, commented on this.
He joked that Vice was really “crowned” as Miss Universe Philippines.
“Ikaw yung Kinoronahan eh, Miss Universe Philippines!” he commented.
“diba! Di ko nga alam kung ano pang pinaglabanan nila! O loko!”Vice replied.
Perhaps, Vice is referring to the controversies surrounding the presentation of Rabiya Mateo as Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
Miss Sandra Lemonon Taguig, Top 16 semifinalist, express the so-called “cheating” occurred in the pageant even if she released a basis.
Second runner-up Michele Gumabao also did not appear in the media presentation of the winners after the telecast of the pageant on GMA-7.

“Wala na rin akong masabi kundi paulit-ulit kong sasabihin. Hangga’t kaya kong iparamdam, mahal kita, ipaparamdam ko sa ’yo,” Ion quipped.
“Siguro, isinilang ako sa mundo para mahalin ka. Mamahalin kita nang sobra,” he added.
