The most iconic Filipino super heroine is Darna.
If America has their Super Woman, the Philippines has its Darna. Originally, it was played by Angel Locsin back then. Unexpectedly, this title has become a big break for anyone who will portray it.
As a matter of fact, many big celebrities are trying to get the titular role. Supposedly, Liza Soberano will get the title for herself but an incident happened during her taping in Bagani.
Bagani is a fantasy teleserye of ABS-CBN that top billed Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.
On the other hand, the executives and produers of the Kapamilya network had to choose another actress that would fit the role.
Lucky enough, Jane De Leon got the title.
When it comed to the kontrabida, Valentina, the name of Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez is being mentioned. Many are saying that the latter would fit the role.
To mention what makes her a qualified character, Janine already played a lady dragon in GMA Dragon Lady, the afternoon fantasy-series that aired in 2019.
If her character will be compared to the character of Valentina, she have so much work as she worn layers of prosthetics as a dragon lady.
Second point is that, her grandmother Pelita Corrales actually played the role of Valentina during the Darna: Ang Pagbabalik.
Meanwhile, Janine is set to transfer in the Kapamilya network this January 2021.
