Throughout the past years, the true meaning of godparents are changing. As some of the parents are seeing their kumares and kumpares in a different way.
When it comes to being a Filipino, Christening is a big deal for most parents. Their kumares and kumpares supposedly the second parents of their godchild.
Sadly, some parents are asking too much from the ninang or ninong of their child. We have already seen series of this in social media.
The story of netizen Maria Alysa Nuñez-Quierra is just one of them. On her Facebook, she shared her experience with her kumare.
In the said post, Maria uploaded series of photos of her screenshots with the conversation she had with the mother of her inaanak.
At first, her kumare asked her where she is and said that her inaanak wants to ask her a Christmas gift.
Since the beginning, the mother sounds arrogant as she is insisting to have a cash gift from Maria. However, Maria explained that she has no money at the moment.
Just like other stories, the mother keeps on insisting that ninang should give aguinaldo to her inaanak.
“Hindi ka na nga nagbigay nung birthday nya eh hehehe,” the mother quipped.
But Maria keeps on explaining to her that she has no budget as of now.
