Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidate representing Manila, Alexandra Abdon is in hot water due to her controversial guesting in Willie Revillame’s daily show, Wowowin.
Abdon, who became popular to the public with her candid and carefree attitude, criticized for the way she allegedly treated Hipon Girl Herlene during an event of Frontrow.
The video of their heated conversation went viral on social media—with the former allegedly making “offensive jokes” to the tv host.
Netizens aired their disappointment toward Abdon due to her insensitive remarks against the talk show host Herlene Budol also known as “Hipon Girl”.
During the said guesting Abdon jokingly compare her “classy” outfit against Hipon who was wearing a crop top.
Some say that Abdon was “overconfident” and “too unprofessional” to shame a fellow woman in front of a show watched by millions of viewers.
Meanwhile, other people also called out Revillame for shaming Budol because of her outfit. He mentioned that wearing clothes as such calls for disrespect.
But apparently, Revillame mediates bashing against Miss Manila following the issue with “Hipon Girl”
According to Revillame, Hipon Girl took it personally and got offended in reality but he clarified that the two are now on good terms.
Meanwhile, The Instagram and Facebook accounts of Alexandra, a candidate in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant in October, are no longer public.
Netizens have been bashing Alexandra one after another for her emphasis on Hipon’s being “squammy.”
In social media, Miss Manila already clarified that it was all a part of the script and she’s just doing her job.
“Napagutusan lang po. Just doing my job,” she commented.
“Yes po! Pero yung bash, hindi. Hehe, But issokay! Kilala nyo naman ako.” she added answering her supporter.
