Residente isn’t impressed with J Balvin‘s stance on the Grammys.

During his now-deleted social media rant, J Balvin suggested that the awards don’t value the genre, but need the stars there for engagement.
Residente then spoke out on his Instagram about the criticism.
“You have to understand José, that it’s like a hot dog cart getting upset and cowering because you can’t win a Michelin star. And don’t get me wrong José, everybody likes hot dogs. Let me explain, so you understand: your music is like a hot dog cart, which many people may like or almost everyone, but when those people want to eat well, they go to a restaurant and that is the one that earns the Michelin stars,” he said.
In response to the comparison, J Balvin posted a picture posing with a hot dog cart while promoting his upcoming feature on Sech’s “Sal y Perrea” remix with Daddy Yankee, much to the delight of the Internet.
