Lily-Rose Depp to Star in 'The Idol' With The Weeknd!

Lily-Rose Depp is joining the cast!

The 22-year-old star is set to play the female lead opposite The Weeknd in the upcoming drama series The Idol at HBO, Deadline reported Wednesday (September 29).

Here’s a plot summary: “The Idol follows a female pop singer who starts a romance with an enigmatic L.A. club owner who is the leader of a secret cult.”

Lily and The Weeknd‘s roles have not yet been revealed, although it is believed that they will play the singer and club owner.

Euphoria creator Sam Levinson created the series with The Weeknd and his producing partner Reza Fahim, who is a former nightlife entrepreneur-turned-writer.
