It’s being reported that Michael K. Williams has passed away at the young age of 54.
According to a report from the New York Post, the actor was found deceased in his apartment in NYC by his nephew.
Michael is best known for his roles on The Wire, and most recently, Lovecraft Country.
He has also starred on Boardwalk Empire, and was known for his role as Jack Gee, husband of Bessie Smith, in the HBO telefilm biopic Bessie.
Just last week, it was announced that Michael had joined the upcoming George Forman biopic and would have starred as trainer Doc Broadus.
After the report, fans and peers flooded social media in tribute to Michael.
