Erika Jayne‘s legal battle continues.
Ronald Richards, who has been appointed by the court to represent Tom Girardi‘s bankruptcy trustee, told Us Weekly that the reality star’s attorneys are “actively talking” about settling her $25 million dollar lawsuit.

“I can’t get into the settlement discussion, but we are trying to resolve the case with her attorney,” Ronald said, claiming, “This is the $25 million that [Tom Girardi’s] law firm paid on behalf of Erika to cover her expenses over a 12-year period.”
The RHOBH star was sued for $25 million back in August, with trustees at Tom‘s firm alleging that she had been paying for her “extravagant lifestyle” using funds from the firm.
Ronald added that he is hopeful they can resolve the case so that Erika doesn’t “waste any more money on legal fees or whoever is paying the fees,” adding that he would rather “have her pay the victims than her lawyers.”
Erika‘s lawyer confirmed to Us Weekly that there were conversations about a settlement happening but that they were “supposed to be confidential between counsel.”
“It appears that my opposing counsel Mr. Richards has been discussing publicly what he calls settlement discussions,” the lawyer continued. “Here’s the truth: Mr. Richards has reached out and told me that he and the trustee want to settle. I have listened and will continue to listen. That’s it.”
He also noted that settlement talks are not an admission of guilt and maintained his client’s innocence.
Erika and Tom split in 2020 after 21 years of marriage. Days later, they were accused of embezzling money from his law firm to fund their lavish lifestyle.
Last month, another Real Housewives star made headlines for comments she made about Erika.
