Cody Rigsby tested positive for COVID-19 this week, days after his Dancing With the Stars partner Cheryl Burke also tested positive, but they’ll still be competing together on Monday’s show.
The two stars both have breakthrough cases of COVID-19 as they are both vaccinated.
Cody and Cheryl appeared on Good Morning America on Friday morning (October 1) to talk about how they will remain in the competition, despite not being able to practice together or enter the studio.

The duo says they will dance separately and virtually from their own homes.
Cody said, “I’m feeling okay. I’m so excited to dance for Britney week on Dancing with the Stars, one way or the other.”
Cheryl added, “We’re going to be doing it from the comfort of our own home. Look at that. I’ve turned our living room into a ballroom.”
This is the second time this year that Cody has tested positive for COVID-19 after also contracting the virus in February. They weren’t able to compete this week, so their rehearsal video was shown instead.
