There are some new additions to the cast of the upcoming Whitney Houston biopic, I Wanna Dance with Somebody!
Clarke Peters and Tamra Tunie are set to play the late singer’s parents John and Cissy Houston, per Deadline.

Nafessa Williams has also joined the cast of the film, and will play Whitney‘s assistant Robyn Crawford, who went on to become her creative director and remained one of her closest friends.
The movie will trace the emotional journey of Whitney‘s legendary career and is being directed by Kasi Lemmons. It’s expected to be released Thanksgiving of 2022.
It was announced in December of last year that Naomi Ackie would be playing the “I Will Always Love You” superstar and more recently an actor joined the cast as Clive Davis. Find out who…
