Penelope Cruz hugs it out with Milena Smit during a photo call event for their new movie, Madres Paralelas, held at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel on Monday (October 4) in Madrid, Spain.
The two actresses were joined by co-stars Israel Elejalde and Aitana Sanchez-Gijon, as well as director Pedro Almodovar to promote the movie.
Madres Paralelas, or Parallel Mothers, centers on two single women who meet in a hospital room where they are both going to give birth.
One is middle aged and doesn’t regret it, while the other is adolescent and scared. The two women form a strong bond with one another as they both confront motherhood.
Penelope and Milena represented the movie just last month at the Venice Film Festival together.
Madres Paralelas is set to open in theaters in December.
