NBC aired the annual 2021 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday (November 25) during Thanksgiving, and the numbers are in!
The three-hour special aired from 9 a.m. to noon across all time zones, along with a 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. repeat.

In the end, the parade generated a total of 25.4 million viewers and an 6.4 rating in adults 18-49, according to early Nielsen fast nationals provided by NBC, via Variety.
The number is slightly less than the 25.9 million viewers for both telecasts in 2020, when the parade was produced only for TV amid the pandemic.
However, NBC noted that the 25.4 million live-same-day viewers marks the network’s most-watched entertainment telecast since the 2020 Macy’s Parade. And in adults 18-49, the parade brought more eyes as a live telecast than this year’s Grammys (2.1 rating), Oscars (1.9) and Emmys (1.9).
