Ridley Scott put one reporter on blast over the weekend for comments that were made about one of his most recent movies, The Last Duel.
The Last Duel starred Matt Damon, Jodie Comer, and Adam Driver, and was based on the true story of Jean de Carrouges, Jacques Le Gris and Jean’s wife, Marguerite, who accused Jacques of raping her.

During a recent press event, the reporter had called The Last Duel much more realistic than Ridley‘s previous films.
“It looks more realistic than Kingdom of Heaven or Robin Hood,” the journalist said, mentioning two of his previous films.
To that, Ridley replied with, “Sir, f*** you. F*** you. Thank you very much. F*** you. Go f*** yourself, sir. Go on.”
Ridley, who was also behind the camera for House of Gucci, recently opened up about the less than stellar box office debut of The Last Duel.
“We all thought it was a terrific script. And we made it. You can’t win all the time,” he mentioned on the WTF podcast with Marc Maron. “I’ve never had one regret on any movie I’ve ever made. Nothing. I learned very early on to be your own critic. The only thing you should really have an opinion on is what you just did. Walk away. Make sure you’re happy. And don’t look back. That’s me.”
