Actor Forrie J. Smith Won't Attend SAG Awards Because He's Unvaccinated

Forrie J. Smith, who plays a ranch hand on Paramount’s Yellowstone, has announced that he won’t be attending the 2022 SAG Awards later this month.

The reason why? He’s not vaccinated against COVID-19 and it’s a requirement to attend in person this year.

Forrie told his followers in an Instagram video, “I’m not vaccinated, I will not get vaccinated. I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. I never will. I believe they compromise your immunities.”

He later added, “It’s just my beliefs. I just don’t believe in that stuff. Whatever.”

He apologized for not attending. Yellowstone is nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. See the full list of nominees here.
