During the appearance, Daniel talked about the “very funny” 95-year-old royal, who wanted “to crack a joke and crack a joke about me” during the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony skit.
“We were having our photograph taken, and she just went, ‘Oh no, he’s the one that doesn’t smile,’” he amusingly recalled.
If you didn’t know, the Queen recently gifted Daniel Craig with the Order of St. Michael and St. George, which is a distinguishing honor usually reserved for spies and diplomats. It’s also the same honor given to M retiring in Skyfall. Bond was fictionally given the title of CMG in Ian Flemming’s 1954 book You Only Live Twice.
He also gave an update about Knives Out 2!
