Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) arrive for their visit to The Prince’s Foundation training site for arts and culture at Trinity Buoy Wharf on Thursday (February 3) in London, England.
This is a rare joint engagement for the trio. They are rarely out for royal visits together and if they are, they are usually joined by Prince William as well.
The royals visited various training sites inside including sculpting and garment making.
“Kate talked about how hard it was to work the wax. I told her that it doesn’t help when you’ve got really cold hands,” Cara MacKay, 18, told People of her interaction with the Duchess.
“It was amazing seeing the duchesses interacting about one of my garments,” young designer Nicole Christie said. “I only started my business 18 months ago and never thought within that time I’d have royals looking at my garments. Kate was asking about the silk — I use 100% silk sourced in the U.K. They were really taken aback and it was an honor for me that I had the chance to meet them.”
