Lin scored a nod for his work on the new Disney movie Encanto, earning a nom in the Best Original Song category for the track “Dos Oruguitas.” The Hamilton star already has Emmy, Tony and Grammy awards.

Other artists who have made it to EGOT status over the years include John Legend, Marvin Hamlisch, Whoopi Goldberg and Robert Lopez. It was most recently achieved by composer Alan Menken, who won outstanding original song in a children’s, young adult or animated program for “Waiting in the Wings” from Disney’s Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure in 2020.

Lin was nominated for an Oscar five years ago for Moana, but lost to La La Land.

Last month, Encanto made history on the Billboard Hot 100. Check it out!
