In the clip, Jerod is called upon to join the “MAYO x MAYO Food Waste Tackling Team” and tackle those throwing out usable food in their kitchens.
“You could make grilled cheese with that bread,” he tells unsuspecting people in their kitchen as they’re about to put their food in the garbage. “Not on my watch! You could make potato salad!”
Before he has the chance to tackle Pete, the comedian stops him. “Whoa whoa, mom’s already tackling food waste, Mayo,” he explains, pointing to his mom Amy, who appears with him in the commercial.
Jerod opts to jump on Pete anyway. “Sorry man, I had to,” he says.
“I get it,” Pete replies. “I’m very hittable.”
