Banned From 'SNL'? Samuel L. Jackson Claims He Is, But Here's the Truth!

Samuel L. Jackson made headlines this week after he claimed he had been banned from Saturday Night Live after his last appearance in December of 2012.

During that December 2012 episode, which was hosted by Martin Short. Samuel made a cameo and played himself in “What’s Up with That?,” a recurring sketch where Kenan Thompson‘s talk show host character interrupts his guests when they’re speaking.

Kenan was supposed to interrupt Samuel as he was saying a curse word, but instead, didn’t cut him off in time resulting in the “F” bomb being aired on live TV.

During his appearance on The Ellen Show, Samuel said, “Kenan got me banned from Saturday Night Live. He didn’t cut me off soon enough and I said the forbidden word on television. He was supposed to cut me off!”

EW has now confirmed that SNL has NOT actually banned him. There is a lengthy list of stars who ARE banned from the late night variety show.
