Diane Warren is finally getting her Oscar!
After 13 Academy Award nominations, the 65-year-old songwriter will be receiving an Honorary Oscar at the 2022 Governors Awards.
Diane is among three other stars that will be honored at the ceremony taking place later this year.

Fellow honorees include Master and Commander and Witness director Peter Weir and A Dry White Season filmmaker Euzhan Palcy, who is the first Black woman to direct a movie for a major Hollywood studio.
Michael J. Fox will also be honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
“The Academy’s Board of Governors is honored to recognize four individuals who have made indelible contributions to cinema and the world at large,” Academy President David Rubin said in a statement via EW. “Michael J. Fox’s tireless advocacy of research on Parkinson’s disease alongside his boundless optimism exemplifies the impact of one person in changing the future for millions.”
“Euzhan Palcy is a pioneering filmmaker whose groundbreaking significance in international cinema is cemented in film history,” the statement continued. “Diane Warren’s music and lyrics have magnified the emotional impact of countless motion pictures and inspired generations of musical artists. Peter Weir is a director of consummate skill and artistry whose work reminds us of the power of film to reveal the full range of human experience.”
The 2022 Governors Awards will take place on Saturday, November 13.
