The Justice Department is revealing more details about what was discovered at Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago Club.
According to a new release issued on Friday (September 2), FBI agents who searched the former President of the United States’ property found several folders labeled as “classified,” via AP.
The inventory list does not explain what the classified folders and other documents seized are related to, but acknowledges that 33 boxes were taken from the property.

“43 empty folders with classified banners were taken from a box or container at the office, along with an additional 28 empty folders labeled as ‘Return to Staff Secretary’ or military aide. Empty folders of that nature were also found in a storage closet,” the news outlet reports.
The new information follows the release of photos from inside Mar-a-Lago from the raid, showing the papers with “Top Secret” marked.
It is not clear why any of the folders were empty or what might have happened to any of the documents inside, AP adds.
The longtime chief financial officer for the Trump Organization entered a guilty plea to 15 charges related to tax fraud and evasion last month.
