The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers news reveals that Murielle Hilaire has taken the soap by storm as the new character Daphne “The Nose” Rose.
Daphne has been hired by Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to ruin Carter Walton (Larence Saint-Victor) and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).

Hilaire is a French-born actress and was already living in L.A. when B&B executive producer/head writer Bradley Bell sent out a casting call for Daphne.
The actress told Soaps.com in an exclusive interview “my agent submitted me for this, and it was a French character, which was perfect for me because it’s a challenge to audition in L.A. with a French accent. There isn’t a lot out there. Maybe like 20 percent of the roles are British and five percent, French.”

By now B&B fans know that Hilaire is perfect for the role of the French perfume meister. But as she tells the story, she almost didn’t make it to her call-back. She says that that morning “my car stopped working in the middle of the road. So I was late.”

Nonetheless, Hilaire wasn’t technically late since there were a passel of actresses scheduled ahead of her. After all the angst she had in just getting there, Hilaire remembers that “I could see in the room that they were pleased. I thought, ‘OK, this is probably going to move forward.’ I even told my agent, ‘I think I got it.’” When you know, you know.
Daphne is a challenge for Hilaire due to the character’s bold confidence—she literally floats into a room and her fragrance precedes her!

The actress says “I’m still learning to walk in in her shoes. But I think it’s actually very positive for me to be playing a character like Daphne. It gives me a chance to try to adopt some of her [attitude].”
