General Hospital Spoilers claim Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has never been one to back down from a fight, but she may find herself caught in an emotional crossfire as Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) starts asking some tough questions.
This past week, tensions ran high when Lois and Ned found themselves at odds over Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) reaction to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) generous offer to fund Giovanni ‘Gio’ Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) education through a trust.
While Tracy was adamantly against Sonny’s involvement, Ned surprisingly took a different stance — agreeing with his mother rather than siding with Lois. But their argument may have only scratched the surface of a much deeper issue.
General Hospital Spoilers — Gio’s Best Interests
Ned and Lois may have rekindled their friendship, but that doesn’t mean old tensions don’t bubble to the surface — especially when it comes to the influence of the Quartermaines and their tendency to control everything in their orbit. When Sonny stepped in to offer a trust for Gio, Tracy saw it as a power play, an unnecessary intrusion by someone with a less-than-reputable history.
But while Lois defended Sonny’s generosity, Ned didn’t see things so black and white. He understood Tracy’s concerns, though he didn’t disagree that the trust was in Gio’s best interest. However, this discussion may have been a precursor to an even bigger revelation that’s about to unfold.
GH Spoilers Say Lois is Hiding the Truth From at Least One Grandfather
As Lois and Ned’s conversation continues, the debate over Sonny’s involvement could lead them into uncomfortable territory. Ned has always been a man who prides himself on family loyalty, so it’s only a matter of time before he starts questioning why Lois turned to Sonny for help with Gio’s care after his mother’s death rather than coming to him.
Could Ned’s questions expose a secret that Lois has been keeping? If Sonny has always known about Gio’s parentage while Ned has remained in the dark, that could mean trouble — not just for Lois, but for the entire Quartermaine family dynamic.
Did Lois deliberately keep Ned from stepping in, knowing that Sonny would respect Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) choice to give her baby up more than the overbearing Quartermaine clan would?
General Hospital Spoilers — The Q Family Dynamic
If the truth about Gio’s connection to Sonny is as explosive as it seems, the fallout could extend far beyond Lois and Ned. The Quartermaines are infamous for their need to micromanage every aspect of their family’s lives, and if they had known about Gio, there is no way they would have allowed Brook Lynn to go through with the adoption. But maybe Sonny did know, and if so, he let it happen.
How might that impact his relationship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) when the truth finally comes out? Dante has always respected his father, but if Sonny played a role in keeping Dante in the dark about his son, it could create a rift that no one saw coming.
