The Valley star, Jax Taylor, opened up about his son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, and on social media, it sounds as if he plans to be a voice for other parents who deal with autism. Read on to find out more.
The Bravo Star Loves His Son
Even though Brittany Cartwright and Jax are divorcing, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t adore his cute little boy. Jax always wanted to be a dad, and joy seemed unbounded when they welcomed their son in April 2021.

On his Instagram profile page on April 10, Jax Taylor shared some photos of him loving and playing with Cruz. Their bond was obvious, as it always has been. Actually, many Bravo fans feel a bit heartbroken that the gorgeous child will grow up in a broken family.
An Advocate For Autism?
In his caption, Brittany’s ex said, “My precious beautiful boy. I’m so proud to be your father,” adding, “We may face challenges along the way. I’ll always be your biggest supporter and cheerleader.”

Talking about others who raise children with autism, the former Vanderpump Rules star said, “[I’ll] make sure that you and other families on similar journeys affected by autism know that the sky is the limit even though life may look a little different.”
The Diagnosis Arrived Recently
Brittany Cartwright revealed to People that her son was diagnosed with non-verbal autism at about the age of two. He’d been progressing nicely with his milestones and talked just fine. However, he started regressing and ended up seldom speaking at all.
While some fans might think that the fights between Jax Taylor and his wife stressed and damaged the child, she never mentioned that. Autism is understood to be a “neurodevelopmental” condition, and developmental regressions can have various underlying causes, per the CDC.
Fans React In The Comments
Cruz Michael Cauchi is a charming child, and many fans adore seeing photos of him. In the comments section, people did not talk about Jax becoming a voice for autism. Instead, those people experienced with it gave him some advice and a warm welcome.
One of them wrote, “Welcome to the ASD community! Cruz is gonna go far, the more you and mom pour work and resources [into] him.”
Another person said, “I’ve raised my sons with autism; they were diagnosed at 4. I’m here if you have any questions or need a person to talk to I’m here for you.”
Here’s another nice comment for Jax Taylor: “From one autism parent to another, it’s a beautiful thing to watch how their brain works. We call It “sparkly brain.”
For now, it seems that Jax and his boy can benefit from those already experienced with autism. But perhaps, in time, he might use his influencer status to reach others, which would be good if it happens. Do you agree?
