Days of our Lives Spoilers: A Memorial to Remember
Family and friends gather in the church courtyard for a touching memorial for the beloved John Black (the late Drake Hogestyn). More Salemites return for the occasion, including Shane Donovan (Charles Shaughnessy).
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) has her children and stepchildren by her side as they each take a turn talking about John.
Paul Narita (Christopher Sean) remembers his dad’s love for baseball, while Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) remembers John singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame. Marlena reminds people that John always wanted them to swing for the fences, meaning aim high, which is exactly what John always did.
Marlena is not sure how she is going to go on with life without her beloved husband by her side, but she also knows she has to find a way to move on alone. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is still trying to find her way in life under the same circumstances.
Bo Returns to Salem
Thanks to John’s heroism, Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) is back among the living, so Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) bring him back to Salem so they can also pay their respects to Marlena and John.
Bo defies doctor’s orders to get to Salem, but knowing John sacrificed his life so that Bo could live is a big motivator. Nothing is going to stop our Bo Brady from doing what he needs to do.
Other Salem Happenings
Belle Black (Martha Madison) finally decides to tell EJ DiMera (Daniel Feuerriegel) a hard truth. Should he be bracing himself for impact? Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) is still by Philip Kiriakis’ (John-Paul Lavoisier) side, willing him to wake up. Will her prayers be answered?
During a week full of loss, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) visits Abigail’s grave and finally comes to terms with her death.
And finally, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) clash over Victoria, while Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) and Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) make time for romance.
