General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that actress Carolyn Hennesy has had a challenging year, enduring two surgeries to repair a broken leg.
This is why it’s been weeks since fans have seen Diane Miller in the land of Port Charles. With that said, unfortunately, rumors have been swirling about a potential Diane recast, as the character is pivotal in storylines. The actress recently set the record straight.
Carolyn Hennesy Addresses Recast Rumors
Hennesy hopped on Instagram and reposted a message from a source online claiming Diane was going to be recast. The actress stated, “Kats n’ Kittens… I’m still very much bipedal! That was fake news!” Hennesy adds, “But I did love certain aspects of it… I think they captured the character of Diane very clearly and very lovingly.
And as for me leaving the show: they’re gonna have to cart me out feet first from that sound stage.”
Hennesy wrapped up with, “Diane is a permanent resident of Port Charles! Much love to all for the tremendous showing of support.”
GH co-star, Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins), who’s been seen more frequently on CBS’s Beyond the Gates as Joey Armstrong, dominates storylines in Fairmont Crest, commented with, “Aw, you’ve arrived! Welcome to the big leagues, sister. I was recently in a fistfight on set, and then, dead. FYI, rumors of our mishaps and/or demise have been greatly exaggerated.”

Carolyn Hennesy’s Recovery
With that said, what happened with Hennesy’s leg that has kept her away from filming for so long? She updated fans recently on social media, stating, “It’s very simple… I just got tangled up with my dog, Bela Lugosi. No one’s fault; he just had the zoomies and instead of stepping on him I decided to launch myself mid-air and came down wrong, to say the least. That’s all. Love to everyone!”
