The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) hasn’t let the veil drop, but Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) keeps pushing. She’s intent on saving Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) and will do it.
Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) had a revelation when he met with Detective Burrow (Matt Cohen) and his fellow detective partner, Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge). Burrow isn’t a crooked cop; instead, he’s faking Matt out because he’s a suspected illegal drug peddler.
At the same time, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) is convinced that Mitch is Matt. Being locked in an unknown location with the man she’s been cheating with, Noah, helped cinch that conclusion.
Nick Newman To The Rescue
Nick suspected Burrow was on Matt’s payroll, and that was true. However, Morrow’s character didn’t know that the detective had a partner and that they both were working with the Feds in what could be termed a sting operation.
Devoted viewers aren’t surprised that Matt is connected to one of the vices. He’s been a broken man ever since they first met him in the mid-1990s. His attack on Sharon was a serious storyline that was surprisingly mined late this year.
Knowing that the authorities believe Matt tried to kill Noah is a major revelation. Thankfully, it gives Nick a sense that the tables can be reversed, but he, like Sharon, needs to do whatever is necessary so that Noah and Sienna are rescued.
Sharon Newman Isn’t Afraid Of The Past
Sharon stood up to Matt, even though he shocked her by arriving at her hotel room and pushed his way in. His brazenness implies that he’ll go beyond holding Noah hostage.
Of course, Sharon knows that Mitch is Matt and that he was behind the supposed car accident her son suffered. But to think that Noah’s been recently knocked out, after he left the hospital and foolishly went to The Shadow Room on his own, increases her concern tenfold.
Dealing with Matt means not showing fear. While he’s persisting in pushing whatever his revenge plan is, Sharon’s total resistance and determination have Matt on edge.
The Authorities Are On Matt Clark
The list of crimes Matt has committed in his miserable life is awful. Of course, he’s sporting a fake name and married Sienna under pretenses as well.
As viewers learned, Matt is connected to illicit drug running. So, it seems the bar he owns is a front for his real business.
Arrogance leads to mistakes, with his unforced errors including the attempted hit on Noah and now having him knocked unconscious. Kidnapping Noah and Sienna, as payback for their affair, is a crime of passion that is leading to at least temporary justice being enforced.
