I believe the audience will be left guessing about who enters the narrative next and how it unfolds,” Case remarked.
It’s intriguing that Case is hinting at a mysterious new element in the plot. Could it be Phyllis who ultimately gets caught up in the chaos surrounding Matt? Sharon and Phyllis have formed a bond through their shared trauma as Martin Laurent’s (Christopher Cousins) lab subjects, so they’ve become somewhat of friends.
Sharon Called Phyllis And Left Her A Message After Her Traumatic Confrontation With Matt
This explains why Sharon found herself calling Phyllis after a troubling encounter with Matt. Phyllis didn’t answer, prompting Sharon to leave her an emotional voicemail while concealing the true reason for her call.
Sharon pretended she was merely expressing gratitude for Phyllis’ supportive messages about Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).
But it was clear she was holding back her concerns about the Matt situation that she desperately needed to discuss. Phyllis will eventually learn the truth, and she will undoubtedly empathize with what Sharon is experiencing.
Phyllis Will Be Furious On Nick’s Behalf As Well As Sharon’s
Given all the other villains Sharon has had to confront, Phyllis can tell she’s afraid; Phyllis will be furious on Nick’s behalf as well and might choose to step in.
Since Phyllis is always on the lookout for a new purpose and enjoys meddling in others’ affairs, this could be the ideal storyline for her involvement.
Is it possible that Phyllis could manipulate or even charm Matt when he arrives in Genoa City in the future? Will she become Nick and Sharon’s secret ally as they strategize to take Matt down for good? Phyllis has a tendency to believe she’s the most intelligent person in the room and could very well turn into Matt’s worst nightmare if she plays her cards right!
