The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) confronted her husband. She demanded an answer and got it, with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) only revealing part of the story.
Victor did tell his wife the truth. But he also withheld information about what he’s planning to do with the stolen digital merchandise Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) gave him.
Nikki thought he was conspiring with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) as part of a plot to go after Jabot. Victor’s Ranch house statement led with Phyllis’ theft and followed with his decimating Cane’s company, Arabesque.
Katherine Chancellor Brought The Moustache To Genoa City
Victor sees himself as the GOAT. He’s the greatest of all-time businessman in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But devoted fans can point out that Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) was the GOAT businesswoman.
Katherine was the one who located Victor and recruited him to help her run Chancellor Industries in the years following her beloved, betraying husband’s death. Braeden joined the cast in 1980, which forever altered the trajectory of this soap opera.
Cooper and Braeden aren’t arguably the two people who’ve had the most impact on the cast. There is no argument. They stand atop all the rest.
As for which character is the better business leader, well, that’s a hard call. All soap fans’ opinions are valued on this subjective and possibly unanswerable question.
Typical Victor Newman Response To Business Question
Telling Nikki that he loved her as a precursor to answering her question was suave. He knows romance, for sure, but also understands that telling his wife what’s coming for Jabot would create an unnecessary problem.
Nikki is prone to telling Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to be forewarned. However, she likely wouldn’t out her husband for fear of personal reprisal and legal ramifications for Newman Enterprises.
The only person who knows when the Jabot card will be played is the man Jack has referred to as the Dark Knight. Only Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is privy to his father’s next step. But as is true of everyone else, Adam was only given part of the plan.
Jack Abbott’s Precautions Aren’t Enough
Jack feels secure in having alerted his tech department. He thinks that they’ve secured the company’s computer systems and will fend off whatever artificial intelligence assault Victor might unleash.
Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) told Phyllis that Jabot has tools to handle the AI weapon. She knows that can’t be true while waiting to be installed as the head of the Abbott’s family business.
Victor promised Phyllis she would head Jabot in exchange for giving him Cane’s AI program that she illegally obtained through her latest hacking efforts. What Phyllis is set to realize is uncertain because she made a deal with GC’s remaining GOAT.
