Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) appears to be the person responsible for kidnapping DiMeras and stashing them in the DiMera family mausoleum.
It seems that he’s collecting them for some future use-meanwhile, he’s got five dead lab rats waiting for his combination Versavix and resurrection serum doses to work-are the DiMeras his human test subjects?
Tony, Kristen, Chad, Theo, And Next One Is EJ
Tony DiMera, (Thaao Penghlis) Kristen DiMera, (Stacy Haiduk), and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) made three DiMera captives, and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) made four.
By then end of the week of December 8, EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel will make number five. Rolf is developing a resurrection serum that will be much more potent, and possibly even achieve immortality, by combining it with Versavix.
Fans will remember Versavix was a miracle drug still in development several months back, when Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) was trying to obtain it for Bo Brady (Peter Reckell).
John Black (Drake Hogestyn) gave his life trying to save the drug from an unscrupulous thief who had stolen it!
Every Drug Trial Must Have A Human Trial After An Animal Trial
Rolf and his real boss-which apparently ISN’T EJ-are very interested in making lots of money off of this ramped-up resurrection serum, if it works. So instead of keeping it secret they want to sell it, and that means obtaining FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approval.
So, first, there must be a successful animal trial, and then a successful human trial before they can get that approval for the drug to be on the market.
The person in the pod who is waiting for apparent resurrection is likely Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) who Rolf and Megan Hathaway DiMera (Miranda C. Wilson) have tried to raise for years.
Since Megan fled with Rolf in a submarine, it makes sense that she’s come back with him and is in hiding somewhere-her son, Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) is also on the way.
Five Doses Prepared, Need Five Humans For Testing
Since there are five doses prepared, Rolf needs five humans for testing-and even though EJ acted like he knew about the special project for the secret lab, he probably doesn’t.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be shown in the promo for the week of December 8, being shoved into the mausoleum with the rest of the DiMera captives! The clip doesn’t show his face, but it’s obviously EJ, wearing the same suit as in a previous scene.
But there is something very troubling afoot if these five DiMeras are human subjects for testing a resurrection serum; don’t they have to be DEAD to see if it works? Another promo shows all five banding together, however, to say the house of DiMera stands!
