Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest some major bombshells in 2026! While fans are only days into the new year, everyone can’t help but feel as if drama is on the horizon in Salem. Here are three bold storyline predictions for 2026.
Joy Wesley’s Return & Baby Bombshell
There’s been zero confirmation that AlexAnn Hopkins is slated to return to the soap and reprise the role of Joy Wesley.
However, with all the foreshadowing of Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) being good with kids, Days of Our Lives viewers can’t help but think she could be making her way back to the little town.
Joy left Salem pregnant with Alex’s child, but didn’t tell him she was. There’s a good chance that he and Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) will settle her stalker issue and get married, ready to live out their happily ever after, only for Joy to arrive with her baby bombshell to blow things up.
Brady Black & Sarah Horton – Salem’s New Super Couple
On to some fun plotline predictions, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) have major chemistry, so it looks like they could very well become the “it” super couple of 2026.
Sure, they’ll have their fair share of obstacles along the way, mainly in the form of Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
However, they may have one supporter (eventually) in Rachel Black (Alice Halsey). Will they be celebrating the holidays in 2026 and ringing in 2027 together? Here’s hoping they do! After all, it’s been a hot minute since Brady has been in a bonefide relationship.
What’s Old Is New Again
There’s been major speculation that Lexie Carver (last played by Renee Jones) is on her way back and that she may be the person in the green tube at EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) lab.
If Lexie is on her way back to Salem, what does this mean for Abe Carver’s (James Reynold) marriage to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry)?
In addition, Days of Our Lives’ co-head writers recently did a 2026 preview with TV Insider, noting fans would be seeing Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) go on a “quest in early 2026,” which will likely play out throughout the year, but “kick into high gear” in the fall.
With that said, will Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) be a part of that arc, too? The show seems to be foreshadowing their past connection and a possible reunion – despite him being married to Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) – so, are they just friends or could they be more?
