General Hospital spoilers tease Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are bound to reunite soon.
GH writers Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte sat down with TV Insider recently and spilled all the tea — including a delicious drop confirming we will see these two hook up again.
It’s rumored to be happening during a snowstorm, so keep your eyes peeled for winter weather headed toward Port Charles.
That being said, the question on everyone’s mind is no longer if Jason and Britt will get back together, in any sense, but how long it can last with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) already determined to pull the plug on Jason’s hopeful romance. Britt has every reason to worry, but she’s still worried for the wrong ones.
It’s Not What You Think
Britt is still hurting over the way Jason left her in the lurch last time. I still remember the pain on his face when he had to do it, but somehow she seemed to gloss over that part. He was broken by his decision, too, even though he knew he loved Carly.
Britt can’t seem to shake the anxiety of knowing she cannot and will not ever come first with Jason, and that always means there is a risk of him ditching her for someone who is more important to him.
So when Carly sounds the alarm on Britt’s side hustle, we can expect the Britch will perceive it as jealousy and idle interference because Carly just loves to be the center of Jason’s world. That’s not this though. Britt really is hiding some pretty serious stuff from Stone Cold.
Carly’s Bitterness Churns
Initially, Jason’s plan to marry Carly was a plan to protect the family, not because he didn’t want to be with Britt. Now, she’s back, and he can’t seem to shake his interest in spending more time with her.
That’s really burning Carly’s biscuits now that she got an earful of what Britt is up to with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), but she’d have to risk all to tell Jason. Will she?
The Big Bang!
It’ll be the shock felt all over Port Chuck if Carly manages to ruin what Britt has going with Jason — again.
Of course, Carly won’t look at it that way; she’ll blame Britt and claim she had it coming by keeping secrets from Jason. He probably won’t care, and that’s likely to drive Carly even crazier.
But if Carly’s final destination with Jack ends up blowing back in her face like I think it will, then Jason just might end up coming to her rescue. That alone could be enough to blow his chances with Britt all over again. What do you think?
