Laura Wright Plays Carly Spencer on General Hospital
In an interview with Soaps.com, Laura Wright spoke about the intriguing storyline she’s been involved in since last year.
Wright talks about the journey her character is on and said she’s “never been happier” with her character and current plot. Right now Carly thinks she has the upper hand on Jack, but we all know that things can turn on a dime in soapland.
Will Carly Hoodwink Jack at His Own Game?
Wright is well aware of the how fast things can turn around in daytime and admits that “tomorrow could be a s***show.”
She went on to talk about how she is careful with Carly’s dialogue, saying “When I get a script, and it says, ‘maybe so-and-so’ or it has a ‘maybe’ a lot, I cut [those out.]”
“I’m like, ‘No, Carly’s not a maybe character. She’s going to go all out … and if she’s wrong, she’ll take her hit.”
Carly’s Storyline Coming to an End?
In her current mission, Carly wants to both outfox Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and protect her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
Jack has recruited Joss to the ultra dangerous WSB behind her back, and we all know how Carly feels about left outside in the cold.
She has to be ruthless in her game of deceit with Brennan, and Wright explains that the word “maybe” has no place in her agenda.
Carly Wants to Take Down Jack
