Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will feel John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) presence in upcoming episodes of the Peacock soap. Perhaps John’s spirit is protecting her from Stefano DiMera’s (Joe Mascolo)?
Stefano’s Spirit Seems To Have Found A Home In EJ
Stefano’s spirit seems to have found a home in his son EJ DiMera, (Dan Feurreriegel) at least when he puts his ring on; his mother Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) could definitely feel him.
Plus, Marlena has been having nightmares about being Stefano’s “Queen of The Night” although they did slow down a bit upon hearing Stefano’s bones were found. Stefano has officially been memorialized and laid to rest in a large urn in the DiMera mansion, but somehow, he’s still “there”.
Although Marlena has a bit of a breather now from Stefano nightmares, it sounds like it won’t be long before they crop up again. But when they do, there’ll be a change-she’ll have John’s spirit protecting and comforting her, and hopefully, the nightmares will stop.
It’s Discovered That John Has Left Something Unseen
It will be discovered that John has left something unseen, something which Marlena will likely be the one to discover; and which most likely, will give her great comfort.
Marlena has seemingly been coping well, since the loss of her husband, but yet, she’s hiding a lot of despair.
She’s tried to focus on her family, and even had lunch with Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) in a widow’s support group of sorts.
It may have been an unofficial one, but still, they all have been going through the same process-and share mutual empathy.
As for the unseen thing that’s discovered, might it be a letter, a gift, or something else that John didn’t have a chance to give Marlena; that’s a wait and see.
A Miraculous Thing Happens, Once Marlena Starts Sensing John
A miraculous thing happens, once Marlena starts sensing John; even when EJ and Stefano’s ring come near Marlena, she can no longer sense Stefano and the nightmares are gone.
It’s as if John has come back from the great beyond, and is acting as Marlena’s guardian angel; and sensing his formidable presence is a great comfort to “Doc”. Although she will always miss her great love, and will never move on to someone else-since she doesn’t want to-feeling his presence is healing.
Although she will still grieve her great love, at least she no longer feels so far away from him, although his physical presence is gone. But the thing that counts-the bond, the love, the memories-they will always be there.
