General Hospital spoilers claim Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) is opening up to his sister Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) this week, and we have to wonder whether that’s going to be about his steamy kill with Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) during last week’s snowstorm.
I’d love to say Nathan wasn’t planning to kiss his wife’s longtime best friend, but it sure didn’t sound that way, did it? In fact, when Lulu was laying it on thick about just how good of a guy Nathan is, he told her how badly he wants to be the man she sees in him.
Hello, red flag number one! That’s not the kind of thing you say to a woman you aren’t romantically interested in pursuing.
That’s the kind of thing you bury deep down and never verbalize even if you’re feeling it. So, was Nathan leading Lulu into that kiss, and will he now lead Nina into the chaos he has sparked too?
Nathan Opens Up a Can of Worms
If Nathan plans to tell Nina about that kiss, he better prepare for backlash. It’s not like Nina to ever judge her baby brother, but she probably won’t encourage that he hook up with someone else while he’s waiting on the love of his life to wake up from a coma either.
We’re talking about the mother of his child here — and her best friend. Will Nathan come to regret telling her he has feelings for Lulu?
GH Spoilers Reveal Clarity Matters Here
While Nathan is telling Nina he has feelings for the very last person Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would ever be likely to approve of him moving on with, Lulu will be dishing on the same feelings that turn her cheeks pink about Nathan to her mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
Even if they can get their loved ones to co-sign their romantic interests, it doesn’t change the material facts that Nathan is sort of still married to Maxie and supposed to be madly in love with her.
What happened to the upstanding guy we used to know who had no idea where the last seven years of his life went and wasn’t aware he missed out on any time with his wife and son? We’re going to need you to make this make sense, GH writers.
General Hospital Spoilers — Nina May Be Just as Torn
Lulu wasn’t born yesterday; she knows the implications of what she has done. She told Nathan in plain words that Maxie would be furious if she knew Lulu had feelings for Nathan. Suddenly, everyone is acting like Nathan doesn’t belong to someone else, and it doesn’t fit the narrative of life the way Nathan claimed to know it.
Nathan, on the other hand, acts like he may have been born yesterday. While Lulu might feel more loyalty toward Maxie, it’ll be interesting to see where Nina sits with Nathan’s budding feelings for someone else.
At the end of the day, she’ll probably support her brother in whatever he decides to do, but will she encourage a union with Lulu? Given their history, maybe not. Keep checking back with us for more GH news and spoilers just ahead.
