Days of Our Lives spoilers note that after a 16-year absence from Salem, Wes Rasmey is officially making his way back to the little town. His return airdate has been announced, and all the details of this story are below.
Wes Rasmey Returns To Salem
According to TV Guide, Rasmey will reprise his Owen Kent role during the Friday, February 27 episode of the Peacock Soap. For fans that may not remember, Ramsey originated the role of Owen Kent in the spring of 2009.
He worked for Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) at that time and had kidnapped Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
While initially Owen was just following orders, the man grew obsessed with Stephanie while holding her captive and refused to release her.
Of course, obvi, Stephanie eventually escaped the predicament, thanks to the help of her Salem friends. Owen was arrested but ended up escaping when being transferred. He hasn’t been talked about since … and that’s all about to change!
Wes Rasmey’s Time On Soaps
Rasmey started in the land of daytime drama on Guiding Light, playing Sam Spencer from 2000 to 2004, with an appearance in 2008. He moved on to Days of Our Lives in 2009 for a short time, as Owen.
Rasmey is probably best known for his General Hospital character, playing villain Peter August from 2017 to 2022. Rasmey has also appeared on numerous primetime shows, including Pretty Little Liars, the CSI franchise series, and Heroes, just to name a few.
In fact, there’s been some buzz on social media that Rasmey’s return to Salem might not be his only splashing soapy comeback.
Peter’s siblings, Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), have come back from the dead on General Hospital; many have speculated that he might be returning as well.
Still, nothing has been confirmed by the ABC soap or Rasmey. With that said, Rasmey did make a brief appearance on a recent episode as a hallucination that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was having while being held captive.
