Nathan might not be Nathan, but that doesn’t mean he knows it. For seven years, we all thought he was dead. Everyone did. His return has gone unexplained, and no one seems to have any interest in figuring out where he was all that time — not even him! That’s not in line with Detective West’s true inquisitive nature.
Regardless, this sheds some light on Jason’s future because if his captors do the same thing to him that they’ve done to Nathan, he could return without any awareness that he is different, and without any knowledge of what happened to him in his absence.
