Raising Two Kids While Grieving
Of course, her daughter, Bindi, and her son, Robert are all grown up now. Still, folks might wonder how she stayed so strong after Steve’s tragic death. In a recent interview with 10 News Plus, Terri Irwin opened up about her life since losing the Crocodile Hunter.
She’d kept the Australia Zoo running while making sure Robert and Bindi never felt like they were missing out. And in a way, that gave her a sense of purpose. Terri admitted that becoming a widow in a single heartbeat came as a massive shock. Not unnaturally, it changed everything for her.
Still she explained that she “couldn’t fall to pieces” because her kids needed her. Robert was just a toddler and Bindi was only eight when their father passed away. So, Terri noted that she focused all her energy on being there for them and keeping Steve’s legacy alive at the zoo.
Robert’s Appreciation
In the YouTube video, folks also got a reminder of how Robert appreciates his mom. Remember, when he was on Dancing with the Stars, he paid tribute to her more than once. Plus, he confirmed that thanks to his mom, he “never felt as though [he] ever missed out on anything in life.”
Once again, Terri Irwin also mentioned why she never found another man after all these years. These days, she still sticks with her belief that she long ago found happiness with her man, and he was simply irreplaceable.
