General Hospital spoilers suggest that Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) is following in his dad’s footsteps and looking to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for a job.
Danny is obviously growing up and he idolizes his father. However, Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan, disagrees with Danny’s path forward.
Steve Burton And Bradford Anderson Comment
Steve and Bradford Anderson, who plays Damian Spinelli, recently discussed Danny’s future on their weekly podcast.
Bradford asked Steve, “What do you think about Danny becoming Jason 2.0?” Steve immediate responded with a shake of his head and a stern “No!” Steve also questioned why he would even want that. Jason’s life has not exactly been a bed of roses.
Fans can imagine what Jason would have against his son joining the mob. Jason has been near death many times and presumed dead a few times on top of that. Jason had a truamatic brain injury that made it much easier for him to be a part of the mob because of how the injury had affected his perception and his emotions. Jason certainly would not want that.
Danny Morgan Wants To Help His Dad
Let’s be honest, Danny’s choice to want to go to work for Sonny stems from the fact that he wants to help his dad. Jason has been taken by the WSB and Danny wants him home. Jason is the only parent that Danny has left and he has spent most of his life without him. Danny believes that joining Sonny is the only way he can bring his dad home.

Sonny knows that neither Jason nor Sam McCall (ex-Kelly Monaco) would ever be okay with Danny working for Sonny. Sam cut ties with the mob years ago in hopes of keeping Danny safe. However, Danny has seen that his father reverts to mob business if he needs to and he wants to be able to do that same when it comes to his dad.
Will Danny Morgan Go Off On His Own?
Danny overheard Sonny and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) discussing Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and how they believed he was behind Jason being taken from Port Charles to make Sonny more vulnerable. After all, Sidwell has been after Sonny’s property for well over a year now and he hasn’t been able to take Sonny down. Jason is Sonny’s number one man after all.
Danny would be putting himself in grave danger if he were to go after Sidwell on his own. However, fans know that Sonny would come to his rescue with Jason out of town. Will Danny listen to Sonny and stay away from the mob business? Will Danny channel his inner Jason and go after Sidwell in hopes of bringing his dad home?
