The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) is becoming involved with RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti) because Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock), in effect, stole Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) from her.
Electra split from the first love of her life. Will may also be the first man that Melissa has fallen in love with.
But what’s not reasonably deniable is that Melissa’s emergence in Will’s life is the reason why Electra told him they were done. Meanwhile, RJ is capitalizing on the situation and thinks he is the better fit for Grace’s character.
Two Setups Happened Last Year In Los Angeles
Will experienced love or a crush at first sight?
Devoted viewers recall when he physically bumped into Electra in the fabled Forrester Creations’ hallway. That encounter, in front of the secretarial desk where Melissa now works, instantly established B&B’s cute couple.
Months passed, and it seemed that all was well. But fans knew that daytime is about drama, and something was going to upset the lovebirds’ paradise.
The plot was massaged by creating an unseen backstory where Electra and Melissa became good friends last summer. That happened when Electra would pick up Hayes Finnegan (Bryan David Garlick) at the summer art school Melissa taught.
Of course, that setting is now the house Will lives in, and where Melissa lived above his garage.
Melissa Dylan Acts With Direct Intent
The truth is that Melissa liked Will from the moment she saw him. The former art teacher also understood that the young woman who she bonded with his girlfriend.
But were Electra and Will deeply in love?
That’s a fair question to ask at this point in the storyline. It’s arguable to say that Electra was more in love with Will than he was with her.
Subjective proof would involve pointing to Will having not only noticed that Melissa was attractive, but then allowing her to make advances toward him. In contrast, Electra told RJ that kissing her was wrong the first time he did.
Electra Forrester Is In A Different Class
Electra and RJ are just becoming involved. So, she could act with haste and allow herself to become involved with him more quickly than would normally be the case. But this is a clear rebound relationship.
So, Electra becoming pregnant probably isn’t something that would be done intentionally or in response to her break from RJ. But Melissa views life differently.
She told Electra that rejecting Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) job offer wasn’t going to happen. Melissa reminded Electra that she was in a different economic class than her. With that, Bullock’s character seems more likely to want to create a permanent tie to Will, which would be a child.
