The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily Accepts Holden - While Malcolm Faces New Crisis

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is as stunned as Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) was when he learned the truth. Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) is not Jerry Novak’s (no actor cast to play this retrospective role) child; Lily’s biological father is.

Malcolm not only realized he had a son he never knew he had, but Moore’s character also gained a potential donor match. However, that hope was short-lived as the tests Holden rushed to have done didn’t produce the result everyone wanted.

Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) kept the truth from Malcolm for all these years. Her explanation was pained but direct because she knew time was of the essence.

In time, Malcolm and Holden will come to terms with what happened. They’ve already started to bond, but need as many years as possible to build a true relationship. But that will never replace the time they’ve lost.

Whether Lily can accept Holden and develop a sibling bond with him remains to be seen. His connection to her ex-husband is a significant problem.

When Drucilla Winters Learned The Truth

Devoted viewers recall the memorable storyline where Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) was shocked to learn that her brother-in-law, Malcolm, and not her husband, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John), was Lily’s father.

Y&R was in its glory days in the 1990s when Rowell, St. John, Moore, and Olivia Winters (Tonya Williams) were part of the cast. That era in this show’s history is fondly recalled for the quality of the scripts and the performances of the referenced actors, among other beloved cast members.

Dru was taking medicine at the time she and Malcolm cavorted. She believed he was Neil, and Malcolm misinterpreted what she wanted. St. John’s character was devastated and outraged, and the Winters’ family was forever changed.

Stephanie Simmons Deserves Forgiveness

Stephanie made a mistake by not initially telling Malcolm that she was pregnant with his son. She made another moral misstep by keeping that secret for decades.

Malcolm and Holden were wronged and are right to feel that Stephanie denied them crucial information that involved three people, not just her. However, she made the exact right decision to come forward and tell her former romantic interest and son what happened.

It was brave for Stephanie to do so. Her actions were also fully compassionate because she was hoping Holden could donate bone marrow to his biological father and help save his life.

Malcolm Winters Survives This Crisis?

Hopefully, Moore’s return isn’t part of a final write-out of his always well-liked character. As Lily said, she can’t lose another father at this point in her life.

While there’s no guarantee, there are further family options. Lily and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) have a daughter, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson), and a son, Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander Gerry).

Malcolm can live indefinitely if one of the twins is a match and can donate bone marrow to him. That scenario could also be comeback vehicles for the twins, which would be a double victory for the fans.
