She’s been that since he first saw her at the company that bears their last name, with viewers repeatedly receiving a pained explanation about how Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) adoptive status means RJ is a Forrester in name but not blood, like Electra.
Meanwhile, Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) asserts his territorial dominance over RJ whenever he gets a chance. Fans of a certain age likely smile to themselves and share a few laughs with fellow observers when recalling their early dating years.
Electra Forrester Loves Will Spencer
Electra responded to RJ’s interest, which came during a point in the plot when she lost faith in Will. Her reaction was based on his interest in Melissa and her then living on his property.
It feels like this foursome could have indefinite staying power, with Electra and Will staying together and RJ and Melissa pairing. But this quartet has established alternative pathways, with RJ eventually becoming Electra’s next love and maybe her first husband.

Otherwise, there is chemistry between them that is ripe for future mining.

RJ isn’t used to losing, and it’s not like he’s lost anything. Fans recall that Electra pulled away from the first kiss he initiated. But she responded to repeated kisses in the weeks that followed.
Will and RJ’s family ties are, like other relatives, one basis of their rivalry. Kudos to both young actors who’ve exhibited believable tension when on screen. They aren’t repeating what Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and Ridge have done through the years, but have referenced that classic B&B grudge match.
Having younger men fight for the love of a highly attractive woman is standard daytime lore. So, the challenge for this or any writing staff is to create scenarios where fresh takes can be offered, with cast talent providing the basis of believability.
Melissa Dylan’s Backstory Is Being Revealed
Viewers recently learned that Remy Price (Christian Weissman) is her cousin. Electra classified him as a distant relative, but that was an attempt to downplay the connection.
Remy appears to be Electra’s first cousin, which wouldn’t be distant. But even if he’s two places removed, this duo has known and sporadically interacted with each other since childhood.
As referenced above, it would make sense to have Melissa be revealed as one of Sheila’s family members. That could also make Remy the same or possibly, he’s blood link to Brown’s character.
