The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Newman Justice Crisis Explodes As Matt Changes Everything

The Young and the Restless: Newman family

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) has amnesia, and an increasing number of people believe him. But his memory drip creates a vexing problem.

The Newman family wants justice for all of Matt’s crimes across the decades. However, he might be able to avoid sentencing if he’s deemed unable to stand trial.

However, there’s another issue. Matt can’t yet admit to what he’s done because he genuinely doesn’t remember his misdeeds. So, that would clearly give him a legal edge, assuming he’d fight it.

Nick Newman Flummoxed By Reality

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is once again out of the hospital after a brief stay. Thankfully, this time, he was discharged as compared to when he signed himself out of the hospital after the car crash Matt caused.

Viewers recall that Matt was being driven to his death by Nick in the recent past. Morrow’s character was intent on ending the life of the man who tormented his family for many years.

Then, in yet another Houdini escape act, Matt got his zip-tied hands free to the point where he began to choke Nick. The sport utility vehicle swerved off the road and crashed, which caused Nick’s femur in his leg to break.

Now, months later, Matt is back in a different form. Nick can’t make heads or soapy tails out of it, realizing that Matt’s amnesia is real.

CPR Training Is Part Of The Underworld

Who knew that a drug dealer like Matt was trained to perform CPR?

Maybe he was certified back in Los Angeles, California, without Sienna Bacall’s (Tamara Braun) knowledge. Possibly, one of the people who were hooked on his illicit substances was a paramedic who taught him how to save one of his drug minions’ lives.

The Young and The Restless: Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)

In any case, Matt instinctively knew that Nick had overdosed and needed CPR to save his life. What transpired in the Newman Tower executive suite was fantastical.

The sight of Matt taking the lead and Phyllis applying resuscitation was amazing and, most importantly, life-saving.

Matt Clark Is Redeemed?

It would be one of the more incredible storyline outcomes in recent memory. If Matt achieves redemption that allows him to remain a free man in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

But he can’t possibly have partial amnesia for the remainder of his life. So, his slow walk memory reclamation would have to play out for many months.

That period could be used to have Matt ingratiate himself into the fabric of GC. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is the perfect person to oversee this process, and maybe the Moustache and Phyllis redeem themselves as well.

If so, then that would make this tale one of the more unexpected in this long-running soap opera’s lore.
