The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) could strike a deal with the Newmans and hand over Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) to them.
During the Wednesday, May 13 show, Red realized her new friend was indeed the long-time rival of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), when he mentioned how a person named “Noah” [Newman – Lucas Adams] confronted him recently, and also dropped “Victor’s” [Newman – Eric Braeden] name. So, what will Phyllis do next?
Phyllis Summers’ Trap
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, May 14, indicate that Phyllis will set a trap.
As the Friday, May 15 episode drops, Nick will make a dangerous deal. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what could unfold here. Phyllis knows that Matt is dangerous; however, she’s in quite the pickle herself.
As Victor recently created AI-generated evidence that “proved” she and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) illegally obtained Newman Enterprises and submitted it to Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) – both Phyllis and Cane could face years of jail time.
Phyllis also stands to lose Summer’s Conglomerate, so will she negotiate a deal with the Newman family? Will she give them Matt if they drop the charges?
A Mother’s Instinct
Then again, Phyllis could simply hand over Matt as a good deed: whether she hands him over to the police or the Newmans. After all, Phyllis isn’t a monster, and she does genuinely care for Nick.
Plus, Matt behind bars ensures that Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) is safe. As Matt has targeted Nick’s children in the past, she’d be at risk with him running around and out on the loose.
Phyllis may believe that handing Matt over to the authorities could make her look good in the eyes of the GCPD and Christine, which would help her current case.
Phyllis may be wary about making a deal with the Newmans, as she’s been burned in the past, and may not trust Victor – or anyone – to their word.
