The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) suspects that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) isn’t being honest. Viewers know that he’s using hard, which is directly impacting his stand-up demeanor.
Nick is a good guy who protects his family and does the right thing. But he’s become fully unpredictable under the influence of the illicit substances that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) initially pushed on him.

Sienna happened upon Mitch in the Las Vegas, Nevada, desert. That, in and of itself, was quite the soapy circumstance. But it had to happen to create this part of a thrill-ride storyline.
As fans recall, Matt lured Sharon, Nick, Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to an abandoned gas station. He intended to kill all four people but they managed to escape before Matt’s secret drug hideaway exploded.
Matt remotely detonated that structure through an app on his smartphone while Sienna was seated beside him in his car. Soon thereafter, they had their confrontation that resulted in him having amnesia.

So, viewers are asked to accept that a man who nearly died alone in the desert and was unconscious made his way to a roadside diner?
Far more details than have been provided need to be offered because it seems preposterous to believe he awakened in the desert and only needed to walk a short distance to the restaurant where fans next saw Matt.
Plus, he had a matchbook with Genoa City printed on it. Without that, he wouldn’t have known where to return.
However, that scenario was intended to prove to the viewers that Matt wasn’t faking amnesia. More recently, his memory has been returning in flashes, and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) felt compelled to fill in the detail gaps to try and keep him secured and then make the trade for her legal freedom with Nick.
Sharon Newman Is A Linchpin
Sharon’s meeting with Nick and Noah at Crimson Lights was useful. Nick was trying to convince them that he was sincere about turning Matt over to the authorities, with both people being skeptical of his true intentions.
Noah appeared convinced by his father, but Sharon knows Nick too well. Viewers can see that Nick is continuously sweating and doesn’t look like himself. Surely, Sharon realizes that as well and will do all that she can to prevent him from killing Matt, as was Nick’s openly stated plan until now.
Phyllis is a facilitator. Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) is an agitator. Sienna must play a crucial role soon. As for Sharon, her deep connection with Nick will help push the plot toward hopefully helping him avoid doing something that would result in a long prison stay.
