Viewers recall the brilliant sequence they witnessed a handful of years ago. It was the culmination of a storyline where Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) made Steffy and the rest of the world believe that Finn was shot dead in cold blood by Sheila.
However, Li only faked her son’s death certificate and provided care that allowed him to regain full health. Then, he took a trip to Monaco, where he thrilled his wife with what was his miraculous reappearance.

So, upon returning to LA, Finn was relieved to find Steffy at the cliff house. They talked everything out, and he was serious about cutting Sheila off once and for all.
But what Finn didn’t know was that Steffy harbored a mind full of betrayal. She initially couldn’t bring herself to tell him what happened with Carter and later, when meeting with Saint-Victor’s character, appeared determined to soon relay the truth to her husband.

While the circumstances are different, devoted fans recall that Steffy once had a paternity test because she didn’t know if her husband, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), or his father, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), held paternity rights to her expected child.
