The Young and the Restless spoilers say that when it comes to Jill Abbott (Lauren Koslow), there are some things about the character that just don’t make sense.

While a lot of Y&R fans would agree that Jill has never been the best mother in this fictional town of Genoa City, but at the same time it’s hard to believe that she’s spent this last year trying to protect her son Billy Abbott from a secret just so she could sell it to Victor and make some hard earned money.
Not only that, but it seems like Billy Abbott also got gaslight over the entire situation.
For many viewers of the show, a lot of this seems to be very out of character for Jill Abbott, and that it’s going to take a lot of time for her reputation to be repaired – if that’s even going to happen at this point.
Clearly, many Y&R fans had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “I don’t think it’ll take much time to repair.
So far it’s all Billy, right? His impression of Jill and what she said off screen, his forensic accounting and archive search instead of doing his job to keep the company running today.”
Another critic wrote, “I’m not getting too excited about this because I figure the new writers will just find the loan payment and once again dash any hope Billy has of running for Chancellor.”

And then there was this comment as well: “The most frustrating piece for me is that Billy keeps saying, ‘this is why my mom wouldn’t let me be in charge at Chancellor, she didn’t want me to find this’… but he was in charge at Chancellor? Didn’t he share the role with Lilly? I feel like I’m being gaslit.”
