Patty Williams Isn’t Gone Just Yet
Haiduk’s character has recurred many times through the years. The last time viewers saw her, she was dressed in religious garb and was headed out of the country based on Ian Ward’s (Ray Wise) direction.
Her most recent return happened earlier this year when Victor took advantage of her release from a maximum security facility for the criminally insane.
He placed her on a yacht in Lake Michigan, with the intention of making Jack look like a philanderer and having his wife, son, and brother catch him.
Diane was devastated by what appeared to be a complete betrayal of their wedding vows. She separated from him despite knowing that Jack was drugged by Patty.
The above led to the kidnapping, the stabbing, and Patty’s attempt to kill Diane. Patty was going to knock Jack off by injecting him but was caught in the act and ran, was stopped by Diane and injected her instead.
Matt Clark Is Stuck In The Middle
Matt was pursuing redemption. But his misguided attempt to do so includes staying in Genoa City, Wisconsin, where Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) just gave him the best possible advice.
She recognized that he’s trying to make amends and has changed as a result of Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) repeatedly bashing him in the head with a rock. Devoted viewers know that happened in the Arizona desert, where he tried to kill Sharon, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Noah Newman (Lucas Adams), and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Digitally skipping ahead, Matt’s frustration was exploited by Phyllis. She sees him as a similar soul and wants her latest rise from the ashes to include Howarth’s character.
Phyllis Summers To The Rescue
Phyllis knows that the Newman family is involved in Matt’s disappearance. Once again, her instinct will be proven right.
Viewers can eagerly await Phyllis learning that Matt was thrown into the same mental health facility where Patty resides. He needs to be connected to one of Y&R’s greatest villains like he needs Sienna putting another hole in his head.
Of course, Sienna went with Noah to Los Angeles, California. So, the greatest danger Matt faces is getting entangled with Patty and suffering legal consequences.
For the sake of his honest redemptive efforts, here’s hoping that Phyllis rescues him before that happens.
