Golf is a popular activity, and the courses are set out to make the game challenging with sand traps and water features, but a snake could also be somewhat hazardous. The open green spaces attract animals, and recently, veterinarians in Texas had to save one that swallowed some golf balls.
Three Swallowed Balls
The Independent UK reported that “a team of veterinarians pulled off an incredible rescue after a snake swallowed three golf balls.” The footage was posted on the Instagram page of South Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital.
The caption on the post said:
This snake somehow managed to swallow THREE golf balls. Thankfully, surgery was avoided. With the patient heavily sedated, our veterinary team was able to carefully manipulate and safely remove all three golf balls manually.
It went on to point out that veterinarians can’t anticipate what exotic animal might arrive through the doors next.

Other Snake Incidents

Unfortunately, the golf balls couldn’t travel all the way down the snake, so it was severely handicapped until the balls were surgically removed. At the time, it was expected to fully recover.
