The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) told the father of her expectant child that she was actually sick because of the secret they are keeping.
That was one of the reasons why she rejected Carter Walton’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) donor and surrogacy proposal.
So, he went to his wife and tried to convince her to make the pitch herself.
That seemed like a good idea because of Daphne Walton’s (Murielle Hilaire) close connection with Steffy. But then Daphne rejected Carter’s idea too.

Carter Walton Had To Make It Happen
Carter told Steffy something important and fully revealing. Saint-Victor’s character has long wanted a family of his own, and now with Steffy’s unexpected pregnancy and regardless of how that came to be, he’s fallen in love with their baby.
His paternal feelings are natural, especially for a first-time father. That particular comment wasn’t intended as emotional persuasion toward Steffy, though its effect was seen.
However, Steffy still wasn’t swayed. Then, Daphne arrived as Ridge wanted her to, and Carter took matters in hand with the two most important women in his life, or possibly there are three if the baby is a girl.
Steffy Forrester Finnegan Is Volunteered Against Her Will
Carter told Daphne that Steffy had agreed to become the egg donor and surrogate.
He blurted out something that wasn’t true as a way to force his manipulative brainstorm into reality.
So, Steffy is stuck. Seething internally and sure to chew the father of her most recent child out after an over-the-baby-moon Daphne isn’t within earshot.
But from Carter’s point of view, he is helping Steffy preserve her marriage. He’s saving her from family embarrassment and workplace drama that Forrester Creations doesn’t need as it continues to fend off Logan.
John Finn Finnegan Is A Solid Husband And Father
John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) commiserated with the woman he considers his true mother, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda).
Then he welcomed a visitor to his office at University Hospital, where his wife could deliver Carter’s child next year.
Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) knows that Steffy is concealing her pain. Budig’s character thinks it’s all Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)- related, but that’s not the case in this storyline.
Steffy has been forced to dig into a lie that’s eating her alive. How she’ll be able to sustain this cover and what that will do to her psyche in the months ahead are just two plot points that make this great soap.
